Tourists are required to reserve their time slot in order to be allowed entry into the museum. They are also to undergo strict security procedures before entering the museum. Both the Ellis and Liberty islands are open daily except Christmas Day.

Brooklyn Bridge offers a scenic view of Manhattan. New York tourists can stroll, with the distance taking half an hour each way. They can also bike across it without any charge at all.

 

Central Park is a popular place for recreation and concerts. It also houses the Central Park Zoon and Metropolitan Museum of Art.

 

Times Square, another must-visit landmark, is filled with LED signs and video screens. It is a family-oriented park which has a lot of hotels, theme restaurants, and theaters, and a flourishing business district.

 

Lincoln Center is considered to be the largest cultural complex in the world, it boasts of symphonies, theater, ballet, movies, opera, art exhibit plus architectural masterpieces.

 

Rockefeller Plaza boasting of the Christmas Tree as well as the Skating Rink and various shops, is an ideal place for those wanting outdoor activities. Tourists can take skating lessons. Rockefeller Plaza also has a lot of dining establishments.

 

The Big Apple houses some of the most renowned museums in the planet. All public museums, particularly the Metropolitan Museum, are managed by the city government, and accept donations from tourists and visitors. There are also private museums such as Museum of Modern Art that are quite expensive. There are also tons of small galleries located in New York.

 

Almost all cuisine in the world are represented in the Big Apple. There are tons of restaurants in New York, from dingy pizza joints to pricey and fancy restaurants. There are a lot of bodegas, delis, and grocery stores located in almost every corner of the Big Apple. Fruit stalls also dot various strategic locations of the city. Vegetarian restaurants are also aplenty in the Big Apple.

 

As for the available accommodations, New York offers some of the best and the most expensive luxurious hotels in the whole world. You can expect to shell out around $50 for a hostel type hotel, around $100 to $200 for budget rooms with shared baths, $250 to $350 for mid-range hotel rooms and a lot more for the high end hotels scattered all over the city
